Supervisory Archivist

John F. Kennedy Presidential Library & Museum

This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration, John F. Kennedy Presidential Library & Museum, Boston, Massachusetts. This is a federal position.

As a Supervisory Archivist, you will serve in a Presidential Library in which presidential materials have been deeded to NARA and is responsible for planning and carrying out professional archival processes on presidential materials and donated collections, and related management and administrative duties.

As a Supervisory Archivist, you will:

  • Oversee the management of the donated Presidential materials and other archives in all media formats, including textual, audiovisual, and electronic.
  • Define and schedule overall work to be accomplished within assigned program areas to assure achievement of specific policies and objectives.
  • Plan for and directs the preservation of materials against deterioration.
  • Supervise a staff of archivists at the full performance level GS 12, archives specialists, and archives technicians.
