United States Naval Academy yawl "Gypsy." This photograph and three others were sent to Naval Aide to the President Commander Tazewell Shepard with an offer for President John F. Kennedy to hold an "Honorary Life Membership" to the Naval Academy Sailing Squadron. Commander Shepard forwarded the photographs to President Kennedy with a memorandum dated March 16, 1961. The typed caption on the front of the photograph reads: "Blue Water, now Gypsy, sailing on Long Island Sound." A stamp on the verso of the photograph reads: "Morris Rosenfeld, Photographic Illustrator, 116 Nassau Street, N.Y., Phone BEeekman 3-4970."
