In the speeches the Senator discusses domestic and international issues, including a need to re-establish the United States as a world leader to fight the growing threat of communism.

Kennedy and members of his staff from various individuals of Maryland, Massachusetts, and Michigan concerning the role of religion in the 1960 campaign, the prospect of a Catholic president, the distribution of anti-Catholic materials, and support for the Senator’s campaign. Also included are letters from the 6th grade class of Ward Elementary School in Newton, Massachusetts. Each student submitted their picture along with their letter to the Senator.
