This file contains copies of Senator John F. Kennedy’s speech titled, “Our Stake in Berlin,” given at the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In the speech Senator Kennedy discusses the differences between East and West Berlin, the spirit and diversity of Berliners, and Berlin as a symbol of determination in the struggle against communism and pressures by the Soviet Union.

Of note are materials relating to recent activity surrounding Cuba, including an increase in supplies and technicians from the Soviet Union and the possibility of lawyer James B. Donovan traveling to Cuba to negotiate for the release of prisoners.

Also included are draft press conference announcements and a Department of Defense publication titled "The Changing Pattern of Defense Procurement." Of note are handwritten notes and doodles by President Kennedy.
