Topics include: women's employment including federal employment; civil and political rights; labor and economic issues, including taxes and equal pay; and social services, including social security, healthcare for older women (referred to as "the aged"), and childcare.

This scrapbook, compiled by Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy, documents news and events in the lives of the Kennedy family following Joseph P. Kennedy, Sr.’s appointment as United States Ambassador to the United Kingdom in 1938. The gold stamped title on the cover reads, “Scrap Book.” The handwritten inscription on the cover, written in green ink and pencil, reads, “Dave. v.g. I think / Mrs. / Kennedy / Children’s letters ? + cards.” The majority of the materials relate to Rose’s illness and surgery in January 1938. These materials include numerous newspaper clippings, as well as calling cards, greeting cards, telegrams, letters, and notes that Rose received during her recovery. Those who sent well-wishes include Rose’s husband, Joseph P. Kennedy, Sr.; her children, Joseph P. “Joe” Kennedy, Jr., John F. “Jack” Kennedy, Rosemary Kennedy, Kathleen “Kick” Kennedy, Eunice Kennedy, Patricia “Pat” Kennedy, Robert F. “Bob” Kennedy, Jean Kennedy, and Edward M. “Teddy” Kennedy; her father, John F. “Honey Fitz” Fitzgerald; President Franklin D. Roosevelt and Eleanor Roosevelt; James Roosevelt, son of President Roosevelt, and Betsey Cushing Roosevelt; Massachusetts politician, Leverett Saltonstall; Governor of Massachusetts, Charles F. Hurley; Kennedy family friends, Edward E. Moore and Mary Moore; radio commentator, Boake Carter; Chairman of the Motion Picture Producers and Distributors of America, Will H. Hays, and Jessie Hays; and other family members, friends, and political and business acquaintances. Also of note are newspaper clippings related to Rose’s involvement with the Ace of Clubs organization, which she founded; the Kennedy family’s residence at 14 Prince’s Gate, the home of the United States Ambassador to Great Britain, in London, England; and Honey Fitz's 75th birthday. Many items include Rose’s original handwritten notations in black ink and pencil. This scrapbook contains 58 calling cards, with many containing handwritten messages; 37 newspaper and magazine clippings; 24 greeting cards; 16 telegrams; 16 typed and handwritten letters; and several typed and printed notes featuring poems and song lyrics.

This scrapbook, compiled by Joseph P. “Joe” Kennedy, Jr., documents his education, travels, and family life between 1932 and 1938. The title on the cover reads, “Album.” The scrapbook contains photographs of and printed ephemera related to his studies at the London School of Economics (1933-1934) and Harvard University (1934-1938), as well as time spent with family and friends at the Kennedy family residences in Bronxville in New York, Palm Beach in Florida, and Hyannis Port in Massachusetts, and traveling in Europe. Destinations pictured include Switzerland, England, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Scotland, Russia, Ukraine, Austria, Bermuda, Georgia, and France. Of note are telegrams from Joseph P. Kennedy, Sr., and Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy to their son; photographs of Joe, Jr., skiing with friends in Zermatt, Switzerland; two portrait cards from the Residenz Museum in Munich, Germany; photographic postcards featuring images of the 1934 performance of the Oberammergau Passion Play in Bavaria, Germany; an invitation from First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt to Joe, Jr., for an event at the White House; materials related to Joe, Jr.’s athletic career at Harvard, where he participated in football, swimming, and rugby, including photographs of the 1936 Bermuda Rugby Week competition; a Bermuda Islands court summons issued to “Joseph Kennedy” and dated March 30, 1936; and telegrams sent to Joe, Jr., for his birthday. Kennedy family members and friends pictured in photographs and clippings include Joseph, Sr.; Rose; John F. “Honey Fitz” Fitzgerald; John F. Kennedy; Rosemary Kennedy; Kathleen Kennedy; Eunice Kennedy; Patricia Kennedy; Robert F. Kennedy; Jean Kennedy; Edward M. Kennedy; Kirk LeMoyne “Lem” Billings; nanny to the Kennedy children, Katherine Conboy; Edward E. Moore and Mary Moore; Sir James Calder; and economist Harold Laski. Handwritten captions and inscriptions are written in blue and black ink on many of the leaves. This scrapbook contains 224 photographic prints (including three tintypes), 53 newspaper and magazine clippings, and 36 photographic postcards, as well as telegrams, letters, invitations, menus, tickets, picture postcards, calling cards, and other types of printed ephemera.

Kennedy's secretary, Evelyn Lincoln, with and concerning Chairman of the President's Commission on the Status of Women and former First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt. Materials mainly consist of Mrs. Roosevelt's views and advice on domestic and political affairs, personal correspondence, and press releases. Of note is a letter from Mrs. Roosevelt thanking President Kennedy for nominating her for the 1962 Nobel Peace Prize; a transcript of an interview with Mrs. Roosevelt and President Kennedy for the "Prospects of Mankind" television series; and correspondence regarding high altitude nuclear testing. Also of interest are materials pertaining to Mrs. Roosevelt's role as the Chairman of the President's Commission on the Status of Women, including a progress report on the work of the President's Commission on the Status of Women. This folder also contains materials concerning the death of Mrs. Roosevelt on November 7, 1962, including letters from other members of the Roosevelt family.

Topics include the need for an improved information program for Veterans' benefits, the "Prospects of Mankind" television series, and Mrs. Roosevelt's work for humanitarian and civil rights causes. Of note are letters from Mrs. Roosevelt thanking President Kennedy for appointing her delegate to the United Nations and Chairman of the President's Commission on the Status of Women; and correspondence regarding Mrs. Roosevelt's opinion of President Kennedy's oratory skills. A letter from Mrs. Roosevelt's son, James Roosevelt, to First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy is also included.

This folder contains materials collected by the office of President John F. Kennedy's secretary, Evelyn Lincoln, concerning President Kennedy's remarks in the new flower garden of the White House at an unveiling ceremony for a commemorative stamp honoring former First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt. In his speech the President discusses Eleanor Roosevelt's contributions to social reform issues, specifically noting her involvement in creating the United Nation's Declaration of Human Rights. Materials in this folder include press copies of the speech and a program for the ceremony. The press copy also includes remarks from California Congressman James Roosevelt, Postmaster General John A. Gronouski, and Adlai Stevenson, Ambassador to the United Nations. Of note are several items with handwritten notations by the President.
