Porcelain plates purchased in 1951 during President Harry S. Truman’s administration and manufactured by Lenox China. The plate on the left is a service plate with a wide, gold rim and a green border. The center of the plate contains the presidential arms in raised gold and is encircled by 48 stars, representing the states. The plate on the right is an entrée or fish plate with a gold and green border and gilt presidential arms.
