This folder contains transcripts of a press conference held at the Truman Library in Independence, Missouri. Senator John F. Kennedy and President Harry S. Truman answer questions on a variety of topics including President Truman’s support of the Senator’s 1960 presidential campaign, results of a Gallup Poll, principal issues of the campaign, and the probability of Senator Kennedy winning the election. Also attending the press conference are Missouri Senator Stuart Symington and Senator Henry “Scoop” Jackson, Chairman of the Democratic National Committee (DNC).
