This folder contains additions to the Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board’s (FIAB) report to the President on intelligence activities in Cuba (also known as the Killian Report) and includes extracts from the National Photographic Interpretation Center (NPIC) regarding aerial surveillance of Cuba. Information in the extracts includes the construction of missile equipment, various buildings, and military camps; and detection of vehicles, ships, aircraft, and Soviet Union personnel. Also included in this folder is a review of National Intelligence Estimates (NIE) and Special NIE published prior to the Cuban arms build-up of October 1962 and pertaining to the possibility of Soviet military bases in Cuba.
