This folder contains copies and drafts of Senator John F. Kennedy’s speech at the 34th Annual Jackson Day Banquet in Springfield, Missouri. In his speech the Senator discusses Democratic leadership in Missouri, a need for drought relief measures to support the farm economy in the area, and President Dwight D. Eisenhower’s proposed policy to address Communism in the Middle East. Of note is a draft with notations by Senator Kennedy.
