Materials primarily consist of briefing papers for the President on domestic and foreign affairs and national security. Topics of the briefing papers include nuclear disarmament; the United Nations; the resignation of Israeli Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion; United States policy concerning the situation in the Republic of the Congo; information about former Congolese Prime Minister Patrice Lumumba; United States-Cuba relations; economic problems and political affairs in Latin America; and Soviet criticism of President Kennedy's administration. Drafts of press conference announcements are also included.
