This file contains copies of Senator John F. Kennedy’s speech given at the Louisville, Kentucky fair grounds during his 1960 presidential campaign. In his speech he discusses political party divisions on economic issues, a need to revitalize the United States economy through natural resource research and development, an adequate food surplus program, increased farm income, and medical care for the elderly. Also included is a transcript from the question and answer session following the Senator’s speech.

This folder contains copies of press releases of Senator John F. Kennedy’s address at a Democratic rally in Owensboro, Kentucky. In his speech the Senator discusses President Dwight D. Eisenhower’s administration including economic issues, foreign policy, the need for greater Democratic leadership, and the 1956 presidential campaign. Of note is a draft with notations by Senator Kennedy.

This folder contains materials collected by the office of President John F. Kennedy's secretary, Evelyn Lincoln, concerning the state of Kentucky. Materials include maps, a description of the state's economy, a summary of Area Redevelopment and Accelerated Public Works program, a listing of budget appropriations for federal programs in Kentucky, and memoranda of preparatory information on unemployment solutions for President Kennedy's meeting with Kentucky representatives. The folder also contains a report by the Department of Commerce entitled "Export Origin Study: State of Kentucky" and materials concerning the 1962 congressional campaigns, including memoranda, newspaper clippings, trip itineraries, and summaries of various candidates' voting records.
