The John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Award® was created in 1989 by members of President Kennedy's family to honor President John F. Kennedy and to recognize and celebrate the quality of political courage that he admired most.
In celebration of Earth Day, the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation, in partnership with The Earthshot Prize, announced the Earthshot Innovation Challenge: Northeast U.S. Edition to ignite Northeast-U.S.-based innovations to address climate change. The annual award will fund solutions that promise to make meaningful positive change in one of the five Earthshots: Protect and Restore Nature; Clean Our Air; Revive Our Oceans; Build a Waste-Free World; and Fix Our Climate.
The JFK Library is the host site for the National Student Mock Election (NSME) for Massachusetts. This voter education program is held every two years to actively engage students in grades K-12 in state and national campaigns, and emphasize the importance of voting and the power of their ballots.

The Education Specialist position is located in the Department of Education and Public Programs (DEPP) of the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum. The purpose of the position is to develop and implement education programs and resources for the Library and Museum’s diverse audiences with an emphasis on K-12 students and teachers.
