This folder contains a small assortment of Joseph J. Walka's personal correspondence from the period when he was employed as a fiscal analyst at the Bureau of the Budget. (He later served as assistant to the chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers from 1963 to 1965.) Most of the correspondence relates to administrative issues arising from his move from Indiana to the Washington, D.C., area. There is also a brochure of a speech by Dr. E. T. Weiler on Indiana and space technology titled "Why Has the Midwest Lost Its Industrial Growth Momentum."
