The Adjei family during their visit to the United States Information Service (USIS) Office in Accra, Ghana. The Adjei family named their baby John Kennedy Adjei in honor of President John F. Kennedy. The following is inscribed on the verso of the photograph in blue ink: "USIS Accra." Identified as standing left to right are: the Adjei's nephew, Mrs. Adjei (holding John Kennedy Adjei in her arms), Mr. P. Y. Adjei (holding "Young John F. Kennedy," a book the USIS presented to him), and an unidentified USIS officer.
