Photograph of Kohei Hanami, commander of the Amagiri, the Japanese destroyer that collided with Representative John F. Kennedy’s PT-109 boat during World War II. The photograph accompanied a newspaper article about a letter Commander Hanami sent Congressman Kennedy.
