Materials include a letter to Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy from United States Ambassador to Australia William C. Battle, background information on civil rights for a meeting between the President and clergymen, and a summary of progress towards the voluntary desegregation of commercial establishments. Of note is a summary of a meeting between Kennedy and Soviet Ambassador to the United States Anatoliy Dobrynin where Dobrynin gave Kennedy a talking paper for President Kennedy from Soviet Prime Minister Nikita Khrushchev.
