Kennedy’s remarks for the United Community Fund (officially known as the United Community Funds and Council of America) campaign recorded in the White House Fish Room. In his speech President Kennedy thanks contributors for their generosity, discusses the American tradition of charity, and explains how donations to the organization (later known as the United Way of America) provide assistance to those in need.
