Biographical Note
Thomas Braden was editor and publisher of the Blade Tribune in Oceanside, California (1954-1968); a columnist for the Los Angeles Times Syndicate (1968-1986); and a Commentator on CNN, CBS, and NBC (1978-1989). Joan Braden was an aide to Nelson A. Rockefeller; presidential campaign staff member for John F. Kennedy (1960) and Robert F. Kennedy (1968); and coordinator of consumer affairs and special assistant to the Under Secretary for Economic Affairs in the State Department (1976-1978).
