Ireland Tánaiste Micheál Martin T.D., Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister Defence of Ireland to Visit JFK Library
— And other Saint Patrick’s Day events this March —

BOSTON – Micheál Martin T.D., Tánaiste, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Defence of Ireland, will mark the 60th anniversary of President John F. Kennedy’s visit to Ireland and discuss the Irish-US relationship and key global issues with Kevin Cullen, columnist for The Boston Globe. This program is supported in part through the Government of Ireland: Emigrant Support Programme.

This free public forum will be held on Saturday, March 18 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. in the Library theater at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum, Columbia Point, Boston. Doors will open to the public at 4:30 p.m.

Other Saint Patrick’s Day Events at the JFK Library:

On Saturday, March 11 at 10:30 a.m., the musical group Celtic Bells performs The Irish in Boston at the JFK Library in honor of St. Patrick's Day. In this family program, Celtic Bells weaves in songs and poems of work, humor, protest, longing for home, and longing to feel at home in America. On Friday, March 17 at 2:00 p.m., an Irish folk and ballad group Green Road with special guest Clodagh Kinsella from County Wexford will perform a short concert in the JFK Library Pavilion. The musicians all come from areas in Ireland near New Ross and the Kennedy Homestead. Interested press should contact Sean Reidy at seanreidyirl@gmail.com.

On Saturday, March 18 at 7:30 p.m., the Metropolitan Chorale and Fellswater will present a concert, “Celtic Crossroads,” following the forum at the JFK Library’s Stephen Smith Hall. Paid tickets to the concert are required and can be purchased at the Chorale website. The event is open to the press.
